This is the official web site for the Naval Science & Technology Future Force magazine, managed by the Office of Naval Research on behalf of the naval research community.

This site uses a blog platform to provide an open forum for dialogue. To ensure the spirit of collaboration, members of the online community are asked to respect each other and the naval community by keeping comments and posts clean. Please review the posting guidelines below before submitting comments:

  • Future Force will not allow graphic, obscene, explicit or racial comments or submissions nor will it allow comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization.
  • No solicitations or advertisements will be permitted. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency will not be allowed.
  • The site will not allow comments suggesting or encouraging illegal activity.
  • Apparent spam will be removed and may cause the author(s) to be blocked from the page without notice.
  • All community members participate at their own risk, taking personal responsibility for their comments, usernames and any information provided.
  • For Official Use Only (FOUO), classified, pre-decisional, proprietary or business-sensitive information should never be discussed here, nor should personnel lists, rosters, organization charts or directories. These materials constitute a violation of privacy.

Comments are moderated to ensure that a collegial atmosphere is maintained and generally approved within 72 hours of submission, though often much sooner. Comments are never edited prior to posting.

The appearance of external links on this site does not constitute official endorsement on behalf of the U.S. Navy or Department of Defense.

The online community is encouraged to quote, republish or share any content on this page on their own blogs, web sites and other communications/publications but only with providing credit/attribution to the appropriate command or the person who authored the content as a courtesy (photo or article byline can be U.S. Navy or MC2 Joe Smith, for example).
